About Us
The Full Story
Willow Creek Events began as nothing more than open land, overgrown weeds, and a dream.
Years ago, Sue and Ed stood on a completely blank property and imagined something extraordinary — a place where families could gather, celebrate love, and create lasting memories beneath the California sky. What existed then was far from the wedding venue it is today. There were no gardens, no lights, no pathways, and no reception spaces. Just raw land, hard work, and a vision.
Sue designed every part of Willow Creek with intention and heart. She envisioned an outdoor venue that felt romantic, welcoming, and deeply personal — a place where couples could experience the beauty of nature without sacrificing elegance. Ed brought that vision to life by building the venue from the ground up with his own hands, shaping the property piece by piece into what it has become today.
As a family-owned and operated business, Willow Creek has always been built on personal connection, genuine hospitality, and the belief that every wedding should feel meaningful, affordable and unique. Over the years, the property continued to grow — oak trees were lit, gardens were planted, chandeliers were hung, and countless celebrations filled the space with joy.
In 2020, Sue passed away, leaving behind the incredible legacy she and Ed built together. Today, Willow Creek Events is lovingly run by their daughter, Bethany, who continues to carry forward her parents’ vision with the same care, warmth, and dedication that inspired the venue from the very beginning.
Every corner of Willow Creek tells part of their story — a story of family, perseverance, creativity, and love. It is our honor to share this space with couples as they begin the next chapter of their own stories here.
